01 — Add or open the client
Create the company profile once. Store contacts, website, industry, country, billing email, approval preference, boilerplate, newsroom settings and optional service-plan information.
02 — Create the press release
Write directly in the rich editor, paste approved client copy or use AI assistance to produce an editable first draft from verified facts. Add images, dateline, summary and media contact information.
03 — Assign an owner
Assign the PR to an active user in the agency workspace so editorial responsibility and follow-up ownership are clear.
04 — Select media and distribution
Choose FinancialContent Network, StreetInsider where appropriate, another configured media destination, or an external distribution path. One release can participate in more than one operational destination while keeping one canonical article.
05 — Complete approval
Follow the account’s approval configuration. The authorised version is the version that should proceed to publication and distribution.
06 — Publish the canonical article
Publish the release on FirstPublisher. The article can enter the master newsroom and selected public categories/media pages while retaining the same canonical URL.
07 — Distribute
Submit through eligible FirstPublisher integrations, purchase configured media add-ons from the Wallet, or record the distribution completed using your own external newswire relationships.
08 — Track placements and analytics
Import or record placement URLs, distribution status and measurable analytics. Keep provider failures or missing evidence visible for review rather than silently treating them as successful.
09 — Generate the client report
When the placement set and analytics are ready, generate the agency-branded report with the executive summary and complete placement appendix.
10 — Bill and manage the relationship
Create the client invoice, record payment, update tasks, monitor outstanding balances and continue the client relationship from Agency Workspace.

Before you request access
Do I need technical knowledge?
The normal user workflow is designed around business actions such as Add Client, Create PR, Select Distribution and Generate Report. Technical integrations remain behind administrative controls.
Does FirstPublisher bulk-submit PRs?
No. The current workflow is intentionally release-based, with one operational record per press release.
Can I publish before distributing?
Yes. Publication and distribution are separate workflow stages, which helps retain one canonical FirstPublisher article while distribution progresses.
Ready to run PR operations in one workspace?
Request a controlled B2B account or explore the public newsroom.
